Salming floorball blade materials

When choosing a floorball stick, the blade material is just as important as the shaft. The material determines how the blade feels against the floor, how the ball responds, and ultimately how you perform on the court.

At Salming, we currently offer three main blade materials: Endurance, Touch X, and Touch Plus. Other older materials are being phased out.

Endurance™ – The all round choice

Medium stiffness – PE (Polyethylene)

Endurance is our most popular blade material and is used on most Salming models. It’s a reliable all-round choice that combines durability, control, and playability – perfect if you’re not sure which material to go for.

Extremely durable with low friction against the floor
Good energy transfer from shaft to blade
Feels harder than Touch Plus
Can be heated and adjusted (re-shaped)

Recommended for players who want a universal blade material that works in all situations.

Endurance blades

Touch X™ – Maximum control and precision

Hard material – PP (Polypropylene)

Touch X makes the blade stiffer and more durable. With lower friction on the playing surface and a soft-touch coating, it minimizes ball bounce while giving you excellent feel and control.

High stiffness combined with a soft, grippy surface
Excellent ball control – the ball doesn’t bounce as much
Very effective energy transfer from shaft to blade
Supports precision in passing and shooting

Recommended for players who want a stiffer blade with a lot of control in technical play.

Touch X blades

Touch Plus™ – Softest feel for ball handling

Soft material – PP (Polypropylene)

Touch Plus is the softest Salming blade material, developed for players who prioritize maximum ball feel and precision control. The soft surface reduces ball bounce and provides excellent touch during close technical play.
